Where each piece begins
Every piece at HighSew starts as something else - a shirt, a pair of jeans, a sofa cover, a scrap of upholstery that someone let go of.
Most of what I use is recycled - old fabrics with a life behind them. Some parts are new, chosen for strength and built to last.
In HighSew, I don't melt fabric down. I don't strip away its story. I look at what's already there, and let it become something new.
The making
Each piece is designed, cut, and stitched one at a time - in a small studio in Beer Sheva, Israel. No production line. No repeats.
The fabric decides the shape. The seams stay visible where they belong. Every piece carries the character of the material it came from, and the hands that made it.
This is where the stitch comes in - a signature in colors, sewn by hand into every piece. Different each time. Left as a mark on the fabric, not the world.
Made once. For one.
There will only ever be one of each piece.
The fabric it came from is gone. The pattern won't repeat. The next piece will begin somewhere else, from something else, and find its own way.
